Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account details — name, email, and business name and location if you provide them.
Listing content — photos, descriptions, specifications, and prices you publish.
Transaction details — offers, bids, orders, and the delivery address and phone number you enter at checkout.
Messages — conversations between buyers and sellers on the platform.
Technical data — IP address, browser, and pages viewed, for security and to keep the service working.

We do not collect or store full card numbers. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe.

2. How we use it

To run the marketplace — publishing listings, processing orders, and arranging delivery.
To send transactional notices such as offers, messages, and order updates.
To detect fraud, enforce our terms, and review messages flagged for attempting to move payment off-platform.
To meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.

3. What others can see

Your listings, including photos, descriptions, and seller display name, are public. Bid amounts and bidder display names appear in public bid history on auctions.

Your delivery address and phone number are shared with the seller only after a purchase, so they can arrange delivery. They are not shown publicly.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us operate:

Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts.
Vercel — website hosting.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to investigate fraud.

5. How long we keep it

Account and transaction records are kept while your account is open and afterwards as long as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You can ask us to close your account and delete data that we are not required to retain.

6. Your choices

Access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us.
Request a copy of the data associated with your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted so that users can reach only their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect a problem.

8. Children

Equiplyx is for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
